My guess is if you sat a Universal Medicine member down and asked them if truth was important to them, they would rank it number one. I also imagine that every member sees themselves as intrinsically honest and brimming with integrity

Yet at the very heart of Universal Medicine, lay great un-truths that the followers of Serge Benhayon must accept every day in order to stay aligned with what he calls ‘spherical truth’.
I’m going to outline them broadly, but not exhaustively, below.
Antithetically to the group blogs were tidbits and hearsay are conflated into ‘facts’, each line of the following can be verified and supported with documentation that has been carefully collected and verified.
I ask one question then. If Serge’s version of events is not the ‘truth’ then is aligning oneself with it aligning with the energy of abuse?
Revelation is ‘data’ from outside the sphere of human knowledge and understanding. Much of human history has been directed by the revelations of those that claim to have had a VPN with god or some higher realms. It is tempting as humans, with our limited view of an immense cosmos in which we find ourselves, to believe that there is a greater knowledge outside of ourselves, as individuals or in the collective. Perhaps there is- we’ll leave that argument for a later time- for the problem here lays with the conduits of those so–called revelations. These prophets of the ineffable knowledge -Moses, Jesus, Buddha, Mohammed et al, hand us mere mortals, lost as we are in the big bad universe, our compass, meaning, our raison de etre ; Nicely but often contrarily packaged ideologies by which to lead our lives. It’s almost irresistible then to believe, and to hope, that there are those that have that direct access at whose feet we can sit. And therefore, for want of true knowledge, cultures throughout our relatively short human history have relied on soothsayers, mystics, shamans, priests, wizards and visionaries.
Richard has not been well of late. Probably due to bad karma, prana and the ill-effects of bad energetic choices by resisting the ‘truth’ of Universal Medicine and profound wisdom of Serge Benhayon. Or not.
In any case, I am the guest blogger for now. My name is ____________ that’s right. That other guy. A few weeks back, Real Media Real change site went down for an hour or two. Us hate-bloggers threw our arms up in a collective cheer. Alas, like the vain hope that people would wake up the day Serge “I will never back down from the truth” Benyahon backed down from his claims of being Leonardo Da Vinci and others, it was premature and overly optimistic. It was back up a day later, pushing out more virulent crap pretending to be against abuse, lies and media bias.
The feedback from the Universal Medicine group, its followers, some members of the public and even affected families can give one the impression that there is a question mark remaining over whether Universal Medicine is a cult. There is a general misunderstanding of the nature of cults in the public at large, however the implacable nature of UM as a cult is not in a shadow of doubt to the well-informed. The only question is, what trajectory is the group following as they tend to have an arc of development?
I’ve cut and pasted a commonly used cult evaluation chart (the FBI have used this for cult evaluation in the US). The higher the score the more potential danger the group poses. Of course, the rankings are subjective and dependent on your knowledge of the group’s machinations. I’ve put my score in bold next to each question. (Don’t let it influence you, which of course is now quite impossible- ah, the irony)
The commonly held misapprehension is that members are held against their will in a compound or tricked into slavish adherence to the group and its leaders after a honeymoon period. While groups do exist like this, the vast majority of contemporary groups are ‘open cults’. That is, the members more or less function as they would have done before being recruited by the cult. Many cult members ‘feel good’ and this takes precedence over logic and inconsistencies. In the case of Serge ( and like many narcissistic cult leaders) this means ignoring glaring integrity issues and questionable ethics. The accountability website has done an sensational job of highlighting many of those.

Members of these groups- UM included- are not aware that theirs is a cult and that their leader suffers from a personality disorder. If they did, then the group could and would not exist. It is in a sense, easier to believe the grandiose claims of the cult leader, than the far simpler truth that their leader has a personality malfunction. The payoff is a sense of purpose, community, and superiority ( poorly masked by love-speak).
At the limits, the metaphoric walls that keep members contained are sets of behviours that are dictated (or offered as choices) by the group ( for UM that is food, music, sport, relationships, sexual behaviour, feminine identity, art, information) and the ‘penalty’ for leaving which is usually a spiritual punishment; the thought of which is ineffable and subsumes the logic of making a rational choice based on the information at hand. In the case of UM this is bad karma, further bad incarnations, going down the imaginary initiation scale, not becoming an initiate or member of the ‘hierarchy’; and of course rejection by the group mind which is extremely powerful. There exist groups that hold a real gun to their heads of the members, but they are few. The metaphoric gun for modern groups is turning the mind of the follower against itself, by keeping them sufficiently simultaneously dumbly happy and confused therefore disabling their sense of mortal and spiritual danger.
The stakes have risen for Serge in the last year. Rather arrogantly (one of his favourite words) he predicted the ‘new era’ and imagined himself as it’s chief advocate. In his mind Universal Medicine was a growing force ready to take on the world. Instead, he has been met with a steady stream of right-minded criticism and the soured fruits of his efforts- a wall of distraught families and unhappy partners. His medicine has been exposed as a large scale scam and his business practices called into question. Whether he knows it or not, the relevant agencies are aware of his every move and the sins of his the past and present. Long forgotten ghosts no doubt will come back to haunt him. What we need to remain vigilant of now is Serge ratcheting up the rhetoric out of an understandable sense of paranoia and foreboding. He and the group are currently following the cult-under-pressure play book to a tee. And there’s more revelations to come.
For people with loved ones in the group, keep an eye on your family member and remember, arguments won’t get them out. Real love just might.

We have endless hours of recordings and notes from Serge’s meetings over the years. There are some common themes that play out over and over, and I’ve picked these to highlight a few. First, Serge is interested in unwavering commitment from his flock. He constantly warns them of the negative consequences of not doing ‘the work’. In fact, we tend to find more negatives than positives on analysis. While the members speak about love, much of it is about fear of prana, dampness, lords of form, bad karma, bad energetic choices and their ramifications and so on.
Secondly, he is very interested in the members money. A lot of time is spent creating negatives around money and extolling the virtues of handing money to Universal Medicine- better incarnations, cleared Karma and other hogwash.
When you read this stuff, it is hard to imagine how the members can say they are not in a cult with a straight face. Enjoy.

When a person rapes another and then feels sorry because they understand what harm they have done they draw towards them an energy of recognition and they do not have to suffer the same energy being imposed on them. If the person does not understand the extent of the harm they have imposed on another or are in denial that they hurt the other in any way, then more of that same energy (an example was used of “pack energy” say if you were involved in a pack rape ),comes in to fill the vacancy after the act…this energy pushes through you so that karma comes to you by attracting the same act to be done to you giving the physical experience of it in your body , and the memory of it is in your cells. The energy has come back to give you the full experience and thus is registered in your body and then you know and feel that you could not do that to another .
The entity can come and go and you are left with the karma ,the imprint of your physical ill.
Even if you have a terrible karma and you are in service ,not looking for recognition and identification ,your karma is cleared. Even if you look for recognition much later – you are not Atmic and all the good is undone
If you do something outside your heart – you are harming. If you choose to stay outside your heart – you embrace evil . Evil is a magnification of the separation from the heart .It is a magnification of an expression that keeps you out of your centre – anything that enhances your spirit . You can improve your body in the pranic sense- evil is a constant emanation of prana Staying in evil accumulates karma .
Fire deals with what is true, not what is good. Healing is not giving or sending love , it is being love.
Healing is not about being good it is about being true.
When you go into grace you wipe out beds of prana to get back to your soul. When you are emanating from there, from grace ,your energetic space enables your own healing.
Simply put -a person goes into their heart -the activity leaves behind a Grace -you are healing your own Karma.

‘If one places their life-force towards the work of the Hierarchy on Earth, in every way, sensibly so, all of one’s personal needs get taken care of in the appropriate Soul-full manner. This is natural as it is magical under the Law of Magnetic Pull and the Law of Constellation’ – SIB.
A warning … ‘If one measures their commitment and applies that measure to ‘the work’ and thus to the Hierarchy — as in – 1: as my life gets better and ‘the work’ proves itself to me, so too will I commit more to it, and or – 2: when my life has reached that point my spirit set-out to achieve — as in — a better-life, relief, reprieve, improvement of any kind, higher initiation and or any other personal gain etc etc — I will sit back and cruise with it. TAKE CAREFUL AND ASTUTE NOTE THAT — such students, as those in points 1 and 2 above, will fall into one of the greatest hidden long-term traps where one’s re-development/initiation will be stunted for many, many lifetimes by the slow and stealth-like manner the astral forces will regress them back into the damp pranic abyss they once fought hard to arise from. Measuring your life with ‘the work’ as in – doing enough to feel better, but not enough to upset your partner, your suitable life, or your family, friends, colleagues etc, will have you feeling ‘better’ by the numbness the astral will bring to you. And whilst you may think you are doing ok or progressing esoterically, you are in fact receding back into the damp body the fire once showed you to be in. It pays not to dance alongside the true fiery esoteric work. It is a very harming illusion to do so and one that will take many lifetimes to heal………………………end.
Dear students, Take special note of the above warning. My words will make themselves be known more and more as we head closer to 2012 and beyond. Embracing the fire is the only true healing way forward … all else will merely get you by whilst it builds the new dampness the lords of form have released to counter the greater light of fire/Christ that now so abounds. This new level of dampness is not one to get wrong about if you are in the illusion that you are not part of it. The new ‘damp’ pranic energy is in accordance to my prediction some years ago about the coming new lung ill conditions on Earth. Universal Medicines core tenets are based on an alleged “Ancient Wisdom”. Serge fans will often be heard to utter in defense their beliefs, “It is just ancient wisdom” as if it has a life of its own, and was a collection of insights that had been passed down the ages and ended up in Serge’s hands one fine day, just in time for Serge to have his nicely timed epiphany.
In the beginning Serge was reliant on the work of Alice A Bailey, an Edwardian age theosophist, occultist and plagiarist who it has been said is the mother of the new-age movement. Like Serge, her sources were largely non historical disembodied people, and re-appropriated ideas from eastern religions.
Not happy to share the limelight with Alice, or probably insulted the Lucis trust- the custodian of Alice A Balleys work- hit him with a cease and desist order, Serge decided to invent his own disembodied sources and misappropriate ideas from eastern religion himself. Shortly after their denouncement of him, he declared Alice too “intellectual” and that in the new era, it was all about ‘the heart’. To create a bit of continuity he kept the jacket of the books blue, and diagrams like they were out of an Edwardian mediums notebook.

There are six volumes of Serge’s ideas. All of them reference Serge and the Hierarchy, Serge himself, one or two entities and even Miranda Benhayon as the sources of the ancient wisdom. Ancient implies to me a time in the past. The term Ancient Wisdom invokes an images of ideas, beliefs and knowledge that has been passed down through the centuries either overtly or covertly, coming from great traditions, great minds and lives. Now while Serge does refer to Pythagoras or da Vinci and others, he does so in a name-dropping manner, leaving the reader to infer a connection, when of course none exists. At no time does Serge directly quote any person from the past as a source of the so called wisdom. Nor does he credit a tradition or movement with the same. The reason, naturally is that there is no connection and no ancient wisdom that has either been passed down the ages directly, or to be inferred from these people or traditions.
Ironically, Serge elects personalities such as Da Vinci as exponents of the Ancient Wisdom, when in fact, Leonardo’s jaw would have dropped at the mere thought of much of Serge’s woo non sense. Da Vinci is considered a father of the Age of Reason for very good reasons. He believed that anything that could not be verified by the senses was not worth debating or spending precious time in contemplation. This was a major divergence in the investigation of the order of things that had existed to then, where revealed ‘truths’ superstitions and mysticism reigned supreme for a millennium. It was a triumph of human endeavour to cast aside ones predilections, religious dogma’s and bronze-age superstitions and work with the senses rather than against them. It was the birth of modern thinking which led, good with bad, to the industrial revolution, the technological revolution and then unprecedented wealth, comfort, liberty, literacy and lifespans for this generation of humans living right now. Free of the tyranny of stupidity , even your everyday modern man or woman has expectations and rights that our forebears could not have dared dream. Our societies have liberalized, equalized, modernized and improved on unimaginable scales. Even Serge can hop on a first class flight to London and be there in a day or so. Modern thought is quite egalitarian in its fruits and doesn’t discriminate against even its most ardent enemies.
In short, the new-ageists, Serge and his followers have benefit enormously from the rational thinking, while at the same time being deeply suspicious of it. In the 19th century scientific thought was a liberating renaissance that captured the public imagination. And with good reason. It offered salvation in this world in the now. In the 21st century, living in the lap of luxury it created, increasingly the middle-class and rich pour over dark-age thinking and and prehistoric explanations of the world for a deeper meaning; the reason? It appears to offer Salvation in another world. Typical human thinking: The grass is always greener. The reward is always later. Now is not good enough. Serge and his ilk prey on that human weakness of being unable to enjoy the now for what it is, and our inbuilt desire for certainty rather than inquiry. It’s a winning formula for the cultist and a beguiling trap that the vulnerable and the well meaning seeker can fall into with ease.
However, Serge, like many new-ageists, likes to call his ideas ‘the science of’ something or another, but that is simply a facade for the very fact that there is no basis, least of all science behind his inventions. Science is based on skepticism. It is an inquiry to disprove a theory or idea. Serge’s ideas on the other hand rely on abandoning critical reasoning in order to sense the truth (in-truth/spherical) of his fictions, which as Leonardo had observed sagely 400 years ago is impossible and utterly ridiculous.

Serge’s books are mostly a collection of well worn new age ideas repackaged as his own and given a dark twist. Generally the new age is about love, light, creating wealth and health, and at its worst, an unhealthy focus on the self to the exclusion of others. What differentiates his ideas from the mainstream is his need to be the authority. He rejects the new age, mediums. meditation and spiritualism with one hand and then redraws with his other calling it the new era, the impress, gentle breath and soulfulness, while more or less conveying the same notions. He has taken self absorption to unprecedented heights, describing any connection with other humans via empathy and compassion as evil and fraught with karmic danger. He underlines his whole package with a terrible darkness where lords of form lurk trying to trick humans into eating pranic food, having sex, enjoying music, their bodies, sports, or just simply living their lives and having relationships which according to this doctrine, will lead to bad karma and ensuing incarnations.
It is as if Serge’s primary need is to be right not happy. He is unwilling to give any quarter or credence to any other doctrine from which he has clearly lifted his own. It so happens that this attitude benefits him as the followers are attracted to the apparent exclusivity of his ideas. It makes them feel like they are on the right path, not any path.
There is nothing Ancient about the so called philosophy. Its source is Serge’s imagination, or as he puts it, an impress. His authority is dis-incarnate beings which he alone is in contact with. Of course some of them are well known religious figures and others are new age inventions. There’s nothing wrong with having philosophical ideas which emanate from the mind, but he claims they don’t, and worse still, many of the ideas make little or no sense other than to give a vague impression of being wise and esoteric. Even when he quotes real world figures, such as Einstein, he gets it wrong. His books deny hundreds of years of scientific inquiry, and appealing to the new age zeitgeist, dismiss evidence based thinking as arrogant, and instead promote airy-fairy confirmation-biased wishful thinking as ‘in-truth’. Yet, using evidence based ideas, such as the internet, the printing press, and cellular communications, Serge transmits his messianic message to his flock of faithful followers who all intone “ancient wisdom” as a defense for their irrational beliefs and unusual dedication to the former tennis coach with a hazy past; preferring to believe his tall tales than the more simple facts that keep popping up before them.
Those reasons why are complex. But the truth is, there is nothing Ancient or wise about Serge’s doctrine. It’s a pop-up religion hobbled together from various sources bereft of any moral core, with confusing and contradictory ideas, meant to muddle the minds of those that follow. Nothing else.
There exists beautiful philosophy in the world, some ancient and some modern. Much of it is well thought out, poetically presented and life changing. Some of it comes from the people Serge claims are his former incarnations. All of their work contradicts him.
For anyone considering UM and its ideas, I urge you to pause and start Googling those people to start with. Read their ideas. Check out the new age movement roots.
Best of all, ask yourself why it is you need to give your power to one man who claims to know everything. That is the seed of your own true awakening.
We were anticipating that UM members, with nothing better to do than to shun facts, would work away to have our sites pulled down. So here we are again. I guess they should know, the truth doesn’t go away. It just resurfaces somewhere else.
A few months back when the media attention hit the group, they formed a think-tank. Part of their strategy was to set up a series of pro-Serge and UM sites, which would only allow positive cult member comments. The other was to try and shut down sites that had an alternative view. They believed, I imagine, that a proliferation of blogs would rid them of links to media stories of page one of Google, and that unsuspecting would-be recruits/customers would read their testimonial blogs and all suspicions would be washed away.
It seems then that they are apparently suffering from the same dissonance that has them not understanding they are in a cult. Their blogs confirm to the non-member their cult like nature, and their attempt to blitz links to other stories off Google has failed. As has their attempt to remove our blogs from the internet. In fact, I predict, the more they attempt it, the worse it will get.
If there is not proof enough that Universal Medicine is a nasty cult, I find it remarkable that Serge himself doesn’t have the wisdom to shut down those blogs. They do him a disservice as it shows his followers as just that. Moreover the fact that the blogs are about him says a lot more than if they did not exist at all. “Me thinks he protesteth too much” I am particularly fond of their spirited defence of why they are not a cult on their own site, which ranks number one in Google, and reads like it was penned by a cult . Some of the blog material is defamatory and clearly shows that the members are less than loving if the subject is not a member of the cult. If the group was about love and brother hood as they claim insistently, they would have the common sense to remove them forthwith. They haven’t and of course they have already been documented should Serge or the group ever embolden enough to claim they have been defamed.
